Employment Consultant (Disability Employment Services)

As of March 2010 will be delivering both Disability Employment Services programs (funded by DEEWR). We are seeking a full time Employment Consultant with experience in the disability employment / vocational rehabilitation sector. You will be responsible for –

 A Caseload of approx 30 clients
 ESS and file administration
 Running 3 job club sessions per week
 Conducting assessment and planning vocational activities
 Seeking and supporting suitable employment opportunities for your jobseekers
 Performing administrative and reporting duties as required

You will need to –

Be effective in planning to achieve individual client goals and ultimately to place clients in suitable and sustainable employment, Be flexible and able to adapt to a changing environment, Have DEEWR employment services knowledge and experience in disability employment network / vocational rehabilitation services, Have a quality understanding of working with people with disabilities/mental health, and Have knowledge of the local labour market and training methods.
