"I worked for an employment service for 3 years previously and now I have worked for the same organisation for 16 years, but I have had 3 different roles during that time."

What did he do before he worked in disability?
"Immediately before, I was a small business owner, but prior to that I had a number of different jobs including, public servant, delivery driver, and warehouse manager."

What does Bill love about working in the disability sector?
"I love the personal relationships and friendships I have developed with the families and adults I work with. I love the working relationships and working environment. I love that we all work together and make a big difference in many people’s lives."

A moment when Bill knew he was making a real difference:
"There are two quite long ‘moments’. The first is the period of time that I was able to help guide our organisation from a position of considerable financial peril to an even keel. The second was when I stood in front of a group of 400 bikers during a fundraiser, with the father of a 10 year-old girl who had passed away a few months earlier, and listened to him telling the assembled crowd what it meant to him to have our organisation in the life of his family from the time of his daughter's birth."
